Burgess Hill Shed Open Day

Burgess Hill Shed Open Day

For the past six months, BH-Shed has been building a community workshop at Burnside, Victoria Road, making new benches and installing machinery and tools. After six months of hard work, the Shedders are ready to open doors for public viewing on Wednesday 15 March from 10am to 2:30pm at the Burnside Centre.

The new workshop is a stimulating and relaxing environment for pursuing worthwhile activity, socialising, and sharing interests and experiences. It is a large, well-lit space equipped with a range of traditional and modern equipment ideally suited to a range of craft activities. In the workshop, members work alongside others. They decide which projects and activities to do and often work together on projects to improve Shed facilities or help community groups.

Why not pop along for a guided tour of the facility and an opportunity to talk to our Shedders about their work and projects. Refreshments will be provided and Shedders will also be on hand to explain what we do, how to become a member and various other ways to get involved.

BH-Shed is a registered charity helping disadvantaged people in Burgess Hill and the surrounding area who may wish to learn new skills, share experiences and make friends.

BH-Shed is open to anyone over 18 years who wishes to become a member. It is also seeking to work with community organisations and groups who share similar aims and whose members may benefit from Shed activities.
