Show Jumping Success For Cumnor House Sussex At Regional Schools Competition

Six young riders representing Cumnor House Sussex were delighted to come away with three wins and one second prize in their four classes at the recent National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Inter-Schools Show Jumping Competition, hosted by Copthorne Prep School. The Cumnor riding team competed against 19 schools from all over Kent and Sussex in the Grass Roots section, whose primary aim is to encourage young riders.

James Allen, Sophie Allen, Isabelle Jeffery, Jess McCaldin, George McCaldin & Millie Stack all came home with a much coveted sash at the end of a very successful day and qualified for the South-East Regional Finals which takes place on the 26th November 2017 at Sands Farm in Horsham.

“The team was just fantastic – they rode their hearts out and we are immensely proud of their achievements,” commented Sarah McCaldin, who co-ordinates the Cumnor House Sussex riding team. “The competition was judged on clear rounds with a timed section through a series of fences. We are now setting our sights on, and will be working very hard towards, the South-East Regional Finals where we hope to see a repeat of this latest success for the Cumnor team.”
