Wayfield Park Farm Shop

The farm shop has been built to support local farms and producers in the South Downs, West Sussex area. As such where possible our produce will be locally grown, reared sourced and made.

Our aim is to stock the finest local and seasonal produce, sourced from the many outstanding producers and suppliers we have on our doorstep. Where possible we try to stock as many organic ranges as possible and the close proximity of our suppliers ensures that all our goods are fresh and haven’t had far to travel.

In December 2014 we will be opening our butchery counter, as a beef farm it will be a key element of our shop. Well stocked with our own Sussex beef & pork and complemented with products from the local farms surrounding us. We also have a very good supply of fresh poultry and locally caught game from our own organised shoots, when the season dictates.

Living so close to the South Coast we are also fortunate in being able to stock a small range of locally caught fish.

Variety of vegetables for sale

The vegetables we stock are all locally grown with emphasis on what is seasonally available. The land in West Sussex is particularly fertile, and produces good crops of a wide range of produce. The proximity of our suppliers means that unlike many supermarkets, the time from picking to plate is short ensuring that what you take home is particularly fresh.

Our diary and delicatessen displays include all of the high quality products you would expect such as selected cold meats, and a range of cheeses as well as homemade pies. The diary selection includes milk, gourmet yogurts, cream and fresh Ice cream. Of course we

Scones Tea Clotted Cream And Jamalso have a constant supply fresh eggs from our hens, and those from the neighbouring farms. To compliment Dressings and sauces such as fresh pasta and pouring sources.

In our bakery section we stock a selection of fresh artisan breads, farm house loaves, sour dough and bread products such as pastries. We always stock the favourites but like to introduce something a little different from time to time for you to try. If we don’t have what you need we can even order in to be collected the next day.

No farm shop would be complete without a good selection of store cupboard ingredients such as flours, pasta, dried fruit, spices and condiments. We are also particularly proud of our range of local Jam’s, marmalades, preserves and fresh South Downs Honey.

To compliment any meal we also have selection of local fresh juices and non- alcoholic drinks.

As the seasons change we like to make the most of what is available to us and so also stock a range of flowers, gifts and other seasonal items.

We’ve worked hard to source only the best local South Downs produce. This guarantee’s the freshness and quality of everything sold in our shop and served in the tearooms.
