A group of students from Chichester are working with local Moung tribes people in the mountainous regions of Vietnam.
Their goal is to help to rebuild the local school destroyed some weeks ago in a violent typhoon that ripped the school roof off.
It is a race against time as the school, and the education it provides, is the only route out of poverty for the 350 children who attend it.
The aim is to try and reopen the school for the start of the new school term in September.
The students are living in long houses of the villagers while they help.
They need to help raise £10,000 - 15,000 to buy materials including a new roof this month.
A fundraising page on JustGiving and film talking about the project can be found online.
