Dig VR is offering a set amount of students over the age of twelve who were taught at St Margaret's School in Crawley, West Sussex a construction VR experience.
By leveraging the power and manoeuvrability of virtual reality, realistic controls and can be used as a tool to introduce the construction/trade industry, inspiring a younger and more diverse generation of students.
Given we have a shortage of skilled workers, and the government's promise of 1.5 million new build homes, now seems like a good time to inspire those who may want to enter the industry, or simply can't afford further education, and utilise skills they picked up during their secondary education.
This also aligns with Labour's promise to develop children's knowledge and skills and support the study of a vocational subject up to the age of 16.
The VR experience for construction will be taking place in the afternoon of the 12 and 13 November at Saint Margaret's Church of England School, Crawley, West Sussex.
