10 Hot Years: iFit Fires & Flues

iFit Fires & Flues Ltd are celebrating 10 years of successful business. The warm and genuine couple behind the name, Paul and Jo, share the secrets of with Sara Whatley

There is nothing husband and wife team, Paul and Jo, don’t know about fires and flues. “We have been in the industry for so long we know what people want even before they do!” laughed Jo. This year they are celebrating 10 years of iFit Fires & Flues Ltd, a business that has grown to have both loyal repeat customers and new clients alike, the majority from word of mouth and recommendations.

Their 5 star Google Reviews speak for themselves, with comments such as ‘We are extremely happy with Paul’s work’, ‘excellent advice on type and positioning, if you want a wood burner these are the guys to use’ and, ‘I wouldn’t hesitate in thoroughly recommending. Thank you’.

As we chatted they were both keen to tell me the broad scope of their abilities and skills, which means they are able to take on both small and big jobs. “We carry out chimney sweeping, cowls, stove and general chimney maintenance, repairs big and small as well as larger jobs such as building chimneys and installing media walls. We even build pizza ovens!” explained Paul. And of course, installing wood burning stoves, flues, fire surrounds and hearths to many a happy customer. Their strength as a company is their expertise, knowledge, and exemplary customer service.

Paul comes from a carpentry and building background, and Jo from surveying and CAD drawing. They are both accredited HETAS installers and approved HETAS retailers, meaning together they can take on any job, doing the majority of it themselves. “We also have our NACS registered chimney sweep, and if we need to bring in any sub-contractors we sort that out, meaning the customer just deals with us under one contract,” said Paul. Jo added they are sticklers for getting the job done on time, as expected, and very neatly. “We wont let you down,” she said.

“We also have a showroom,” continued Jo, “this is by appointment only as we recommend having a consultation in the clients home beforehand, so we can advise on what sort of stove would work, rather than the customer falling in love with a stove which may not be appropriate.” There are many different types of stove to choose from, such as wood burners, gas stoves, electric fires, and pellet stoves, all of which iFit Fires can supply and install. “Pellet stoves are great for the environment, and can look traditional but with the added bonus of modern technology. You can even control them from your phone!” said Paul.

Before the winter rush, this is the perfect time to get in touch with iFit Fires & Flues Ltd and see how they can light up your life in the heart of your home.
